Pick-Up vs. Delivery: How It Works
Whether you prefer the charm of a vineyard visit or the convenience of doorstep delivery, Oak & Tail makes it easy. Both options include a two-week window to adjust your selections after we place the order.
Pick-Up Members
- Release Months: February (Q1), April (Q2), September (Q3), November (Q4)
- Payment Timing: Payments are processed two weeks after we place the order.
- Selection Guarantee: Your chosen wines are guaranteed for two months after the release date. If a bottle becomes unavailable after that window, no problem! The amount you paid never expires and becomes a credit toward available wines at pick-up.
Why pick-up?
It’s the perfect excuse to enjoy the vineyard, located in Cornville, along the Verde Valley Wine Trail. Stop by on your way to or from Sedona and savor a tasting flight with some delicious bites. This way, you can taste before you finalize your selection.
Delivery Members
- Release Months: February, April, and November
- Payment Timing: Payments are processed two weeks after we place the order.
- Selection Window: You’ll have two weeks to update your wine choices after we place the order; once payment is processed, changes can no longer be made.
- Weather Holds: Temperatures can affect shipping. We follow UPS shipping recommendations, and weather-related holds may apply to protect your wines.

For both pick-up and delivery members, once we place the order, you’ll have two weeks to fine-tune your release. Swap a bottle, add a favorite, or try something new. After payment is processed, selections are locked to ensure accuracy and availability.

Our Tasting Room team is here to help you explore, compare, and fine-tune your preferences. Whether you’re deciding between vintages or debating a red blend vs. a single-varietal Syrah, we’ll guide you through structured tastings so every bottle you select is one you know you want to bring home.

Beyond release discounts, your member savings apply year-round to non-release purchases, perfect for last-minute dinner parties, gifting, and stocking up for the holidays. And if life gets busy? Your payment never goes to waste. For pick-up members, if specific wines are unavailable after the two-month guarantee window, your release value becomes a credit toward any available wines when you arrive.

- Early cancellation: $50 fee.
- Order cycle: We place orders on the schedule listed above; payments are processed two weeks later.
- Two-week update window: After we place each order, you have two weeks to adjust selections. Once payment is processed, changes are no longer possible.
- Pick-up selection guarantee: Your chosen wines are guaranteed for two months after release; after that, your paid value becomes credit toward available wines at pick-up.
- Shipping and weather: For deliveries, UPS recommendations may require holds for extreme temperatures.
